Over the past few weeks we've had to have the necessary injections for the trip. Aching arms and feeling slightly out of sorts have almost become the norm! I have to be honest, it made me think about those who travelled on missionary endeavours in years gone by with none of this protection - we are so thankful that these kind of preventative measures are freely available to us.
We have also just had a planning meeting to work out who will be carrying what in terms of mosquito spray, re-hydration sachets and diarrhoea tablets, and all the other various medical paraphernalia we will be taking with us in the hope that we don't end up taking enough to open a chemist shop!
It's surprising just how much we will need to take with us! Let's hope we can fit some clothes in our cases as well as the medical necessities!
